What is CNC Machining?

CNC is the abbreviation of Computer Numerical Control, which refers to a technique that used in manufacturing process. It is an automated manufacturing process that controls the machine to repeat the commanding tasks in programming, which offers greater precision and consistency and less risks of error made by workers. It can be used in the machines like Lathes, Mills, Cutters, Routers and 3D Printers.

In CNC machining, the first step is writing a CNC program (usually G code), which includes parameters such as machining path, speed and cutting depth, etc. After the command programming is set, the machine will act according to the command. This is an auto process and it eliminates the need for manual labor to control the tools, thus improving accuracy and consistency in production.

After the process is over, workers need to check the quality of parts and then enter the product quality control process. After that, all the parts will be sent to the post processing process.
